Julie Zuckerberg, a lead recruiter in the financial industry, joined Deutsche Bank as the talent acquisition lead and executive recruitment lead at Deutsche Bank in 2014. She earned a degree in philosophy at the City University of New York, Brooklyn College. After this, she pursued her Doctor of Jurisprudence (JD) degree at the New York Law School before heading into the job market as a recruiter.
Once done with her studies, Julie Zuckerberg joined Hudson between 2002 and 2007 as the director of candidate placement where she honed her skills in talent management, talent acquisition, executive search, and team leadership. Here, she was in charge of recruiting professionals such as attorneys, paralegals, case managers, and other staff. Her job description at Hudson involved acting as a link between clients and employees, in addition to resolving workplace conflicts. She was also responsible for conducting employee coaching and counseling.
She then proceeded to Citi Global Function between 2007 and 2013 where she worked as the vice president and an executive recruiter. She solidified her role as a leader in the industry while at Citi by recruiting the director and managing director of CitiCards. Here, she was in charge of full life-cycle recruiting for senior level positions.
In November 2013, she proceeded to New York Life Insurance Company where she served as the experienced hire recruitment lead and as corporate vice president. She was responsible for managing the recruitment and talent strategy planning. She left this firm in February 2014 to join Deutsche Bank in April of the same year.
At Deutsche Bank, she is the current US talent acquisition executive recruitment lead. She is based in Manhattan, New York City. Her job description here goes beyond recruitment. She is also involved in driving and executing regional and global talent objectives for the firm.
Julie Zuckerberg likes working with millennials and has taken it upon herself to ensure that the ones she recruits remain in the industry by offering counseling and coaching whenever need be. Millennials are known not to be hell-bent on remaining in entry-level positions in the workforce. Unlike the retiring baby boomers they are supposed to replace, they somewhat lack the patience to work their way to the top slowly.
Hobbies and Personal Accomplishments
Needless to say, in addition to her excellence in the recruitment industry, Julie Zuckerberg is an all-rounded individual. She is an accomplished photographer and likes to spend her time running whenever she is not at the office. Julie is currently growing her photography collection and creates time to appreciate art exhibits. If she is not appreciating the arts, she is most likely increasing her knowledge in tech. As such, she can be found on Twitter and LinkedIn despite being social media shy. If you don’t find her pursuing any of these things, Julie is most probably advocating for economic empowerment. Her exploits have also left a mark in advocacy for the welfare of animals in addition to participating in various charity works whenever she has spare time. With the high stress associated with the banking industry, Julie Zuckerberg definitely knows how to take some of the pressure off.
